All things which are found around the nature like the forest, vegetation, animals birds climate soil and minerals found in nature are called natural resources. If the natural resources are utilized unwisely, it can degrade quality of those resources. Literature, music, arts and crafts prevail on the basis of religion and culture show the culture of Nepal. When people lose their faith on their original culture then culture fades away.

Natural resources

Natural resources are the gifts of nature without which life would be impossible on the earth. Forest, soil minerals, water and air are important natural resources. The quality and condition of natural resources depends on the utility of natural resources which depends on the size of population. Natural resources are categorized into tableware and non-renewable natural resources. The renewable means the resources which can be produced as quickly as it is used like air, water, soil, forests etc. and non-renewable means the resources which can't be produced once they are used like coal, petroleum, materials, metallic ores etc.

The increasing population have exploited and misused the natural resources. It has caused a lot of environmental pollution. The quality of air and water has declined in the urban areas. The unhygienic smoke and dust are polluting the environment. Unsystematic and unplanned urbanization and industrialization have made life uncomfortable in the huge town and cities.

All these changes in the environment destroy the balance in the ecosystem. As a result, the animals and plants are disappearing. The overuse and pressure of resources in causing rapid disappearance of valuable wildlife of the nation.

Cultural heritage


Cultural heritage are valuable property of the nation. It enables us to get acquainted with our history, civilization and development through time. Some cultural sites are listed in the world heritage. High population growth, improper disposal of solid and liquid wastes are polluting the heritage.

Large number of our cultural heritage are degrading due to lack of maintenance. Ignorant and selfish people, pollute the cultural sites and damage the cultural property such as shrines, temples and paved roads. So, it is very necessary to manage a healthy and fresh environment and work collectively to preserve our identity and valuable cultural sites.
