Introduction to Animal Behaviour

This note contains detail information about the introduction to animal behaviour. Therefore, the behaviour may be defined as the activities produced by the organisms in response to stimuli at a given situation during the course of evolution, living organisms develop different types of behaviour in order to adjust themselves to the environment. The simplest form of irritability of organisms that is associated with the nervous system is a reflex action. Reflex action is a rapid, automatic, motor response to the sensory stimulus without conscious control of the brain.

Bird migration

This note contains detail information about bird migration along with its types, advantages, and disadvantages. Bird migration is a two-way journey from breeding or resting place to feeding or nesting place and vice versa. It is a periodic, regular, to and fro movement. When birds consume more amount of food the fats deposited under subcutaneous layer which affects nervous system then the birds migrate towards the breeding place.

Fish migration

This note contains detail information about fish migration along with its causes, factors, types, advantages and disadvantages. A class of movement which forces the fishes to return back in that place from where they have been migrated is called fish migration. Fishes migrate for different purposes like food, shelter, and breeding. They breed in one area but grow and feed at another.
