The real number system evolved over time by expanding the notion of what we mean by the word 'Number'. At first "Number" meant something you count like how many cows a farmer owns.These are called number or sometimes the counting numbers.The union of the set of rational numbers and the set of irrational numbers is called the real numbers. The set of real number is denoted by 'R'.


  • The real number includes all the rational numbers. It also included within the irrational numbers.

=1.2 ×1011+1

=1.2× 1012 Ans.

Solution: 4.215×10-2+3.2×10-2
