What are they thinking?

the circus elephants,

As they tramp, round the ring each night?

Do they wish that

They were far away

In the forest's leafy light?

Where they'd roam at will

And could eat their fill

Far from human right,

As the gentle giants,

Perform their tricks

The children stare with delight.

But is it fair?

Should they be there?

Is keeping them captive right?

Very Short Questions

Children are happy by seeing the elephants kept in the ring

The circus elephants think that they were far away in the forests leafy light.

It is not fair to keep elephants in a circus because they also have right to live their life peacefully and happily.
