Transportation is the means that helps people and their commodities to move from one place to another i.e. from their origin to destination . It is a basic infrastructure of a nation. Today's cities and towns are the results of transportation. Buying and selling won't be possible in the absence of transportation.
In ancient time, people used animals as their daily transportation, not only that they used animals to carry their materials. But slowly after the development of transportation, they used modern way of transportation like vehicles, airplane, ship, rail etc.
Land transportation
In the context of Nepal, it is the best and cheapest means of transportation. Nepal is an economically poor country, so people want a low price of transportation and accommodation in their daily life. Due to the geographical region of Nepal, it is suitable means of transportation. People use various vehicles in their daily life which help them to travel and carry goods from one place to another. Some of them are motorcycles, bicycle, car, bus etc. Here are some highways of Nepal which help people to travel from one place to another:
Water Transportation
Nepal is the landlocked country, due to which it's difficult to make water transportation. It is also one of the cheapest means of transportation for people. In Nepal, people use small wooden boats to cross the rivers and carry light weight goods. The nearest sea from Nepal is the Indian Ocean. Ships, boats, submarines etc are the examples of water transportation.
Air Transportation
Air transportation is the expensive and fastest means of transportation. It transports people and goods by flying in the air. Air transportation in Nepal was started in 1953 AD. It provides both domestic and international flights to the people. In Nepal, few people only use it as their daily means of transportation.
